Jesus the teacher

Jesus is often portrayed in the scriptures as a rabbi and a teacher. All of us can surely recall a single teacher that seemed to draw the very best out of us – perhaps even qualities and talents that others had overlooked? That is what Jesus, the teacher, does for his disciples. Like any good teacher he grows in his ability to communicate through his relationships with his disciples. In turn the disciples grow in confidence and in their ability to respond to his grace and wisdom.
