Awareness

Before we pray, it is good to remind our hearts who is meeting us in this time of prayer. Jesus is greater than Solomon and greater than Jonah. His presence transforms and heals us. All that may well be troubling us is calmed when we know that Jesus is with us. All that seemed so great and too difficult, in the perspective of friendship with Jesus, is no longer as important.

How can I include a time of preparing my heart before I settle into a time of prayer?
