Contemplate the Cross

When God seems distant and I begin to grumble impatiently it is good to have something tangible to gaze upon that will put me in mind of heaven and God. It might be an icon, a holy picture or a statue of Mary. These little human things can raise me up out of my egocentric world into the other world Jesus speaks about. Today is a day to gaze on the Cross and to contemplate what it means in my life.
