Perseverance

The widow pesters the judge until he finally agrees to give her justice. Through her persistence she wore him down. Do we ask God for favours but find little in the way of response? Should we be like the widow and persist? No doubt God is listening to our pleas. Is he responding in ways we are unaware of? Are we allowed to get cross with him? Martha was not happy with Jesus when he arrived some days after Lazarus had died. But she asked for a favour. Lord give me the faith not to be discouraged, to keep on asking, to trust that what you do for me maybe not what I ask for - to accept it is what is best for me.
