Love God

Slavery isn’t a word we’d associate with ourselves. Yet we are enslaved sometimes, because of the insidious nature of sin. Jesus’s presence and action in our lives releases us from that tyranny and its result: eternal death, with a counter-offer of eternal life. Why then must I constantly struggle against whatever evil Satan uses to trip me over? How I wish I were perfect!

Holy Spirit, hold fast to me so I only go where you go; clear my eyes, so I see what you see; tune my ears to hear only that which is good; take my words, which are spoken for love of you; take my heart, it is yours.
