Choices

Can you recall a time when you had a difficult choice to make? To choose this or to choose that? Do you remember if there were values of yours at stake, values that you wanted to protect and save, values that you were willing to compromise or sacrifice? Caiaphas, the high priest, makes the choice in today’s gospel reading to do what was expedient and have Jesus put to death. In making that choice, Caiaphas chose to sacrifice his integrity in favour of expediency.
