Forgiveness

Forgiveness is still a controversial subject. Nowadays, we talk about being unable to ‘move on’ if we don’t forgive those who have hurt us. Jesus had no qualms about telling of the consequences if we don’t forgive. If we rely on our softly, softly approach instead of calling on Jesus for the strength and peace he offered, we will continually struggle. St Maxilmillian Kolbe had good reason to be bitter towards his captors, yet he died without rancour towards them. Let us ask him today to pray with us for help for any unforgiveness we may have in our hearts.
