Jesus enters the house

The gospel reading tells us that Jesus entered the house and spoke of a deeper meaning of eating and thinking. This was to encourage the disciples to take a closer look at themselves. Jesus could be saying something like this: “Eating food is good. But it is what comes out of the heart that is important. Evil intentions are born from the heart and given flesh by words and actions.” Perhaps we could allow ourselves to be led by this passage under our individual roof to befriend our personal household and nourish a compassionate heart.
