Reward follows sacrifice

It would be so easy to miss the references to Jerusalem at the beginning and end of this parable. Jerusalem - where Jesus was to offer his life so that others could have life. If we keep our faith to ourselves we are not truly following Christ beyond Jerusalem to Calvary. We will only truly follow Christ if we offer up ourselves for others. We must be prepared to multiply our faith in others through our good works. Dying to ourselves in this way will bring us new life. The Resurrection is the Father’s reward for faith shared.
