May Christ live in your heart

If you’ve wondered where the devotions to the nine first Fridays with Mass and Communion, the Holy Hour of Eucharistic adoration and the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus came from, they arose from the influence of Sr Margaret Mary Alacoque’s mystical encounters with Jesus which began in 1673 at the Visitation Convent in Paray-le-Monial, France. In these encounters Jesus entreated Margaret to encourage these devotions to the incarnate love of his Sacred Heart.

Lord, grant me the grace to taste “the love of Christ which is beyond all knowledge”.
