Love produces freedom

Ruth, a Gentile woman, abandoned her country to provide for her mother-in-law. We may assume Ruth and her husband loved each other deeply. Ruth’s beautiful response after his death is to sacrifice everything for love. As we abandon ourselves to the love of Jesus, we learn to live the greatest commandment through him, with him and in him; to love God with every fibre of our being - heart, soul and mind. Love produces freedom and our capacity to love God above all else and to reach out in genuine love to others, flows from God’s love within us. What stops you from experiencing God’s love?
