Being a good neightbour

The Good Samaritan is a story engraved upon our hearts for he is the one ‘moved with pity’ for his neighbour in need. Every day we have the same opportunity to be a good neighbour to others, to pay attention to the needs of others. This is where we find God present in our midst. Ironically, the moment to be a neighbour often comes as an interruption – we may well have to change our plans and change our schedules, but when we do so we also discover grace and the God who is very near to us.
