Signs and wonders

The apostles are called to proclaim the kingdom of God and to do so freely. The Acts of the Apostles gives a rich picture of both what this entailed and how the apostles built up their fledgling churches through generous and selfless ministry. We are told their ministry was accompanied by ‘signs and wonders.’ Likewise in our own day. The selfless, collaborative and generative ministries of our brothers and sisters in Christ are like a stained glass window displaying shafts of sunlight and grace and, above all, God’s enduring presence amongst us.
