Jesus teaches

Our life of prayer prepares our hearts to be sensitive to the presence of God in our midst. In our gospel today, Jesus again reminds them about a readiness to receive the Son of Man. Jesus, in conversation with Nicodemus, opens up the intent of God and his divine identity as the Son of Man. So, the conversation is about an openness to being surprised by God. This readiness centres us and helps us to be alert to grace. We live in mystery and we are not in control and it’s good to know this again and again. Go to your place of prayer and have a conversation there with the Risen Lord.
