It is the Lord

Our life of prayer prepares our hearts to be sensitive to the presence of God in our midst. In today’s gospel, Jesus stands unrecognised on the shore. The signs of abundant fish, breaking nets and the taking and giving of bread, enable recognition. Jesus stands on the shore of our lives. We are to be open to being surprised by God, and this openness centres us and helps us to be alert to grace. We live in mystery and we are not in control and it’s good to realise this again and again. Go to your sacred place and ask for the grace to be more sensitive to God’s activity.
