Our refuge

Our first parents must have been desolate. They had had it so good, leading a charmed existence. Now they were condemned to lives of pain, sadness and suffering, after which they would ‘return to the dust from which they came’. Yet God was still their refuge, as God is ours. The care and compassion that Jesus showed for the hungry crowd is God’s care and compassion for us. Lord, may I be open to your love and care for me.
