Doing good works

The crowds, who guessed where Jesus was heading and got there before him, were enchanted by him. Instinctively, they knew that he loved them. They had never experienced anything like that from their religious leaders and teachers. He was truly their shepherd, and we can imagine that they hung on his every word. He led them near restful waters, and revived their drooping spirits, and their cups overflowed. We share in the same out-flowing of God’s love.
