Focussed in the Wrong Direction

It’s hard not to feel sympathy for Martha – she’s flat out showing hospitality to Jesus while her sister, Mary, apparently does nothing to help but sits down and listens to Jesus. Sympathy aside, we can easily become Marthas in terms of our approach to our faith – so busy doing good things that we don’t have time to focus on why we are doing them: namely, Jesus.
