Offering truth

Pope Francis has said that truth is like a precious stone: offer it in your hand, and it draws others to you; hurl it at someone, and it causes injury. Perhaps this can be seen in the images of the new cloth and the new wine. While there is something good about the old cloth and the old wine, they have a limited life and the new will take its place, so to with our personal lives and the Church also. There may be something about ourselves that needs to be let go. Likewise, the Church - it may have structures and ways of evangelizing that once worked but are no longer effective.
