Akahoa he iti he pounamu – although small, a treasure

Too many of our children live in poverty. Too many of our young people commit suicide. Too many of our girls and boys are sexually abused. Too many fail at school. Jesus says to us “do not despise any of these little ones.” He says go out and care for the lost one. Leave those others in the fold and go and out and find the lost ones. Kolbe did just this. He gave his all to change places so little children would keep their father. What is Jesus telling you to do for children in your parish today?
