Life after life

The Pharisees believed in the continuation of the soul. The Sadducees did not. Here, we see another trick question from the second-to-largest group of Jewish teachers. The enquiry is based on ignorance and Jesus is quick to deal with it. His insights into life after life come close to quantum theory which states: energy does not die but is reformed in another state and place. In Jesus’ words, when we die we become as angels. That rings true to me. Our beautiful little souls come into incarnation to grow and then go back home to God. And I believe, as Jesus suggests, that the soul has no gender. It is part of the great Oneness of God.
