Make my word your home
The three young men in the fiery furnace entrusted themselves to the God of Israel’s protection and are saved. In the Gospel, the crowd claimss Abraham and God as their father, yet reject Jesus as the Son of the Father. Jesus replies chillingly that Satan is their father. “If God were your father, you would love me, since I have come here from God.”
Lord, grant me the faith and courage of the three young men in the furnace. Jesus, free me from the sin that binds me. Grant me the grace to fix my eyes on you.
