Our word today is ‘determination.’ Eleazar, an elderly Jew, is determined to maintain his Jewish practice and faith. Zaccheus wants to see what sort of man Jesus is and climbs the tree to look over the crowd. Mary’s parents take her to the Temple and consecrate her. They want the spiritual best for her. What are the things that I am wholly committed to, really determined about? Not in a pig-headed way of course, but well considered and good. Practice your ‘determination’ today.
