Isaiah 5: 1-7; Psalm 80; Philippians 4: 6-9; Matthew 21:33-43

Respect of each other

The invitation is to respect one another. The phrase 'they will respect my son,' haunts as we listen. We know what will happen. When we respect others, even those whom we find a challenge, we are helping to make this world more like the one God would recognise. We build the kingdom of God each time we reach out, not to destroy, but to respect. In reversing the destruction of the tenants we are actually respecting the Son. Sometimes, our life of faith is about swimming against the tide. How can I today help to support God’s world?
