Angelic life

Is my faith too stale and cynical to delight in these readings about angels and their glorious life of whizzing up and down around the throne of God? Do I think there is no room in the Church today for such innocent vision? Surely I am called to be a modern Christian who deals with temporal needs and problems. Whilst children are part of faith communities there is always room for angelic life. Children bring innocence and humility to faith communities. They remind me not to forget God’s utter magnificence and power and the place of angels attending the Son of Man whom I am following.
