Saved by love

The life of faith presents us with many challenges. The people of Babel were defeated in their plan to build their own secure way to reach heaven. Jesus declares to his disciples that anyone who wants to save his life will lose it. He teaches that we are saved because God’s own Son has died to save us and not because of our own efforts nor by depending on our own resources. We are saved by God’s love for us.
