Midnight

:

Is 9:1-7 calls me to risk stepping out of the morbidity of darkness and into the vitality of the light, to see what God has done.

Titus 2:11-14 calls me to give up everything that does not lead to God.

Lk 2:1-14 a call to overcome my fear, the major driving force of modern humanity, so strong it owns us. Trust and peace are what replaces my fear.

Dawn:

Is 62:11-12 calls me to unequivocal holiness, for the world to be drawn by the attractiveness of God.

Titus 3:4-7 is motivational because God loved me so unconditionally when I was so undeserving.

Lk 2:15-20 calls me to crawl out of the darkness within, which normally I try to avoid by being busy. Pondering what God has done in the quietness of my heart will bring a peace the world cannot give.

Day:

Is 52:7-10 calls me from dreary existence of bad news to the joy of a good news bearer.

Heb 1:1-6 leaves me breathless since God entered human nature to offer love; even angels never receive such love.

Jn 1:1-18 the greatest hymn ever written, which if I ponder slowly to provide a vision only the heart can see. The birth of Jesus belongs not only to time but also beyond it. At this very moment of history I must open myself to the Word being born in my heart right here right now.
