Stay strong

In the reading Mattathias was challenged to forsake his religion for wealth. He chose to remain faithful to the commandments. Has our faith been challenged or ridiculed? Would it be easy for us to ignore aspects of the faith that are inconvenient at times? Is it a personal battle that requires frequent recourse to prayer and the sacraments for us to remain Christian? It can be difficult at times to make that decision, go with the flow or put Jesus first. Shall we ask Mary, Help of Christians to keep us on the right trac?
