True riches

What are these treasures in heaven that Jesus today asks us to store up? We know we can’t take anything with us when we die. Maybe they are the gold of kindness, the diamonds of compassion, the rubies of friendship and the pearls of joyfulness. It is these things which make us rich with loving families and good friends. They are things which truly last and never fade. As with all good gifts they come from God, and with them, we will return to him.
