Light and salt

It can seem at times that life can be overrun by indifference and darkness, both in our own lives and in events we see around us. But it only takes a little light for us to see the way forward, and a little salt for us to savour things more. Jesus is the light of the world, and salt to the earth. He comes to share that with us so that we too can pass it on to those who may be losing their way.

  1. I agree. Christian life is being challenged today because of the changing world. Perhaps the question one should ask is how can I be the light today, secondly the light to what? it is important to understand our faith better, to be prophetic in the way we see things. Our church has always emphasized tradition and scripture. now we should do something to preserve our local traditional cultures and customs otherwise the word itself will be meaningless to us.
