Tobit 11:5-17, Ps 146, Mark 12:35-37

Jesus speaks today of his ‘Lordship’, understood even as far back as King David. He speaks of it in terms which delight his listeners. Does the word of God delight us? Do we listen to it believing it comes from the mouth of God himself and take it to heart? God’s word, made flesh in his Son, Jesus is there to bring us life and teach us who God is. Though we may hear it over and over again, God speaks in new ways to us each time we read it or hear it proclaimed.
