A new creation

In eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil humankind chose to be like gods usurping God’s sovereignty as Creator. God’s creation becomes tainted by corruption. In contrast, Jesus’ healing ministry inspires wonderment and thanksgiving. The admiration of the crowd for the healing power of Christ reveals that a new act of creation has come into the world. What is damaged is made whole again. Creation, tainted by sin and evil, is made new and whole again in and through the power of Christ.
