When We’re Down

There are times in life when we feel pretty disappointed with ourselves, only too aware of our failures, our weaknesses, our inadequacy. Prayer becomes difficult because we can’t help but think that God is just as disappointed in us as we are. But Jesus revealed that God is a God of compassion who feels sorry for us when we are distressed or feeling low. In such times, therefore, be like the leper and pray “Lord, if you are willing, you can heal me”.
