Ascension of the Lord

Evangelise now

From one in authority comes a command, not a suggestion, to evangelise. As Jesus leaves his disciples he speaks explicitly of baptism and implicitly of his presence with us for all time in the Eucharist. Going to Mass on Sunday, receiving him, is part of living out our baptismal vows. The Holy Spirit helps us in this and also helps us to know God. Entering into God’s wisdom helps us to know our place in the overall evangelising outreach of our Church.
