I will lay down my life says the Good Shepherd

Archbishop Oscar Romero looked at the body of the young priest that he had mentored and said:

“When I looked at Rutilio lying there dead, I thought: if they killed him for doing what he did, then I too have to walk the same path.” Both Archbishop Romero and Fr Grande were murdered in their ministry working for justice and hope for their people. What does this sort of commitment call from those who are shepherds to others?
