Repent and forgive

What would Jesus think of our generation? Do we even need to ask, when the sins of the world – like greed, indifference to suffering and war – crowd so heavily on so many innocent victims? Rather, we should consider our own part in the world’s sorrow – what we have done and what we have failed to do.

May I understand and atone for my sins – for the damage they do to my soul and the sorrow they cause to me and others. May God in his mercy forgive me, and may I forgive those who sin against me.
