Life and death

The only gift greater than life is eternal life after death. If we live like Antiochus, for power and riches, then with him we will die a sad and sorry death. If we live like St Clement, St Columban, and Mary – all of whom lived for God alone, and for making his Son known – then we will face death as a door way through which we move into the fullness of life and joy. We will be united with all the saints who have gone before us, and with all those who have trusted in the resurrection of Jesus, who unites, in friendship, all those who believe in him.
