Jonah 3:1-10, Ps 130, Luke 10:38-42

“A woman whose name was Martha welcomed Jesus. She had a sister called Mary.”

Martha welcomes Jesus into her house. Mary welcomes Jesus as a listener. Mary sat at the feet of Jesus and listened to his words. When Jesus affirms Mary, he is simply reminding Martha to be attentive. A way to put your prayer into action might be to listen to someone who wishes to unburden themselves to you.
