Make Christ your life

Solomon ponders life’s meaning. Vanity is ego or trivial self-interest. Another word for vanity might be ‘hollowness’, or ‘vapour’. Perhaps we dream about being rich. Solomon was rich beyond measure, yet warns that he had nothing without God. Paul describes baptism as plunging into water to die to the world and rise to new life, alive with Christ. We say, “Sport is her life”, or “He lives for music”. What do we mean? How do we make Christ our life? Jesus warns against avarice; hoarding wealth. What is your idea of ‘enough’? If God called you today, would you be a ‘fool’ or wise?
