Be formed by Jesus

All of our relationships shape who we are, our families and friends are among those who people us. The very ones we carry inside as we go about living and dying each day and every night. Sometimes we can’t fully describe who we are without reference to this person or this community of friends. In our gospel Jesus describes the mutuality he has with the Father. They are one. Over the years the life of Jesus takes greater and ever greater hold of us. There is a merging. Journeying these Lenten days we can catch a glimpse of how much Jesus has become part of us, and how we can’t accurately describe who we are without reference to Jesus.
