Lost in Jesus

What bubbles up within us when we sit with Jesus? Just imagine for a moment Jesus sitting with you. Lent reflects these days of rededication, days to be more conscious of being with Jesus and remembering all that he has come to mean for us. This woman coming to Jacob’s well when others are at home having their siesta, is astonished to encounter a listening Jesus keen to know all about her. A Jesus who reaches deeper and deeper into her inner world. I often imagine her, in the early morning or evening, after a tiring day choosing to return to Jacob’s well and sitting prayerfully lost in the company of Jesus.
