Prayer of petition

Abraham and Jesus both teach us wonderful things about prayer! Both make it clear that persevering prayer touches the heart of God. Jesus begins his prayer by addressing God as Father and then reminds us that a good father can always be trusted to give his children good things. Do we persevere in prayer? Do we trust that God will always answer our prayers, though not always in the way we hoped for? Father, teach us to trust you even when you do not seem to hear us. Teach us that your answer will always be the best one for us in the end.
