This world and the next

So many times Jesus is posed difficult questions, usually with the aim of catching him out or giving his enemies an excuse to seek to destroy him. Jesus often uses these occasions to teach us some important truth. Today we hear of the difference between this world and the next. We are inclined to model God’s world on that which is familiar to us, but Jesus reminds us that at the time of the resurrection we will be daughters and sons of God, not governed by earthly things.
