Romans 8:12-17; Psalm 68; Luke 13:10-17

We are children of God

The psalmist knows a God who bears our burdens, gives the lonely a home and is a God who saves. This is a picture of the best of parents, protective, faithful and rich in mercy. The good news that Jesus brings is the assurance that we are all children of God, wanted and loved for ourselves. No one is unimportant. No one is to be abandoned. We are related as family. How might I live that relationship today?
