The wonder of prayer

St Therese gives us a most beautiful description of prayer: “Prayer is a surge of the heart; it is a simple look turned towards heaven, a cry of recognition and love, embracing both trial and joy.” Here is a springboard from which we can leap into this new month, making prayer a priority. Be it a simple look, a cry, an embrace, let it surge from the heart.
