The call to live our faith

We live our lives by faith. Our faith is faith in a person. Jesus remains at the core of our living and the way we go about our daily lives speaks louder than any words we might offer about our faith in God. In our gospel today, Jesus warns against duplicity. These sayings against the Pharisees remind us of our need to be authentic. Our prayer and our participation in Mass call us beyond selfishness and our own concerns to the larger space that Jesus calls us to. Cardinal Suenens said that we may well be the only Gospel that some people will ever read. This is both a challenge and also an encouragement to continue living our faith.
