Hero to zero

The trees in the orchard of humanity are not perfect. Sound trees do sometimes produce unpalatable fruit. Popular opinion is quick to condemn a good person because of a single mistake; hero to zero. Everyone has to accept the consequences of their behaviour. But a universal condemnation for a single failure? Get rid of the thistles by all means. But a good apple tree produces one or two sour fruit? Maybe dig it around and put fertiliser on it for one more year. How much does the media affect your judgement?
