Who am I to judge?

You have to know a person well before you have any chance of knowing what their motives are. All we can see are the externals. What may even be a crime may not be a sin. The latter requires a degree of freedom, knowledge and intention. We are all capable of being malicious, but often, people are just stupid, ignorant or misled. We should do what we can to combat error and prevent harm. But as Pope Francis famously said, "Who am I to judge?" In a much broader context, we could ask ourselves the same question.
