St Josephine Bakhita (OM)

The Gospel shows Jesus’ popularity as a healer in people’s desperation for bodily wholeness. There were people in need of healing everywhere in market places, villages, cities and farms. The feast of Saint Josephine Bakhita invites us to look at people who need personal wholeness in our world today where there are women and children who are being used in human trafficking. Saint Josephine is the patron saint of slaves. We pray with her for a change of heart for all who use others like this for profit. We pray also for forgiveness and recovery of all victims.
