Look with the eyes of faith

John, the writer of the Gospel, describes the call of the first disciples in a way that is full of seeing, looking, watching! But what he is describing is not just something physical - the eyes gazing - John is sharing a deeper truth with us: we have to look with our hearts, to know the truth of what lies before our eyes in this world. We have to look with the eyes of faith to know the truth about Jesus. The Gospel reveals its truth only to those who believe!
